Canopy photos
75 degree day, a bit colder in the hanger and I had a heater running. The windshield slid off the hoop completely across the forward fuselage, over the engine mount and to the floor...and shattered....like I said woe is me. Murphy is a little bastard and just proved it one more time! I would recomme...

Hanger or end room
Have a look at the whiteman airport that is just a short drive north of the Burbank airport. New hangers were recently built or they might have an end room available, which would be all you would need to build a fuselage.

Hello Captain, the plane looks great!
I want to ask you if you had to modify the firewall in any way to fit the prop governor?

CreativAir
I think you are getting the idea about the call outs from creative air, not enough to go by. I think the AC 43.13-1B is going to have to answer this one.
I will gladly post the results of my research when it is available.

Mounts of confusion
Hello again, I contacted a technical representative at LORD Corp. One maker of these mounts. He had a very easy way to figure out the mounts for Dynafocal engine mounts. They come in two sizes, 1 3/4 inch and 2.0 inch when measured. at a certain point. Hence any two inch mount will work with the van...

Wires or Cables
Hello All, I have a creative air strobe pak and need to figure the wires needed. Their guide recommends 16AWG for the length but does not specify if it need to be a shielded cable with three conductors or just 3 separate wires without shielding. Would strobes without shielded wire interfere with the...

Lord Mounts
Is their an easier way to sort out which lord mount is correct for a 7A? I am trying to buy used and save a few bucks doing so. My engine was originally delivered attached to a Piper PA-44 and the P/N is J-9613-40. Frankly these mounts all look the same to me....are they?

Superior's Cold Air Sump Kit
Hi All,
Here is my pickle for the day. I need a different sump for my O-360. A used unit costs the same as a new cold air sump kit from superior. Has anybody used this unit on a 7A? Will it Fit?
What are the benefits of having cold air induction ?
thanks ,
Ed

Trim Servo
Hi all, I am installing the Ray Allen trim servo in my elevator and need to sort out the routing for the wires. Their is a hole in the elevator spar but the threaded rod from the servo is using that space. Running the cable through that seems risky for chafing and an eventual short to ground. Defin...

Tail nav light
Hi all, I have my rudder mounted (RV_7A)and rigged but, I noticed one thing is missing. There is no hole for running the wires to the tail nav light/strobe light assy. Did I miss it or is this ad-hoc? Where is the best place to locate the hole in the verticle stabilizer aft spar? Also, any tips or t...

Tight Spot
Hi All, I am having a difficult time with this one. Trying to rivet the F-902-L/R to the F-715B-L/R panels. The inboard rivets are the particular issue. Is there possibly another way using pulled rivets or even bolts here? http://i1137.photobucket.com/albums/n514/spamDog/Camera_Dump617.jpg http://i1...

Re: AN fittings -- sealant
[/quote] It's not necessary to put it on the flare side of the fitting. If your flares are done properly, the flare flange is the seal. I'm only mentioning this because when you get to inspection, the DAR will more than likely make you removed it, if only to prove to him/her that the lube is not on ...
