Hot weather - but no sweat in the eye!
I have been very impressed with these skull caps for UV and sweat protection for biking. I continued to use it in the aircraft under my baseball hat. Low and behold, no sweat in the eye. It works. Today was full sun, 35C degrees and 50% humidity. Under the canopy is like being in an EZ Bake oven. He...

Re: Zizzo Liberte - folding bike
Easy mountain bike trails were the perfect activity today. The goal was simple: get the body moving and dodge a few trees. I knew these trails would be in top shape, with the weather warming up after a wet stretch. There was just enough mud in some turns to make things interesting with a bit of slid...

Re: a couple printed widgets
cup holder with standard sports water bottle resting on the floor with foam and carpeting in my aircraft. I'll test the spring function. It is not optimal but is simple and may be fine. Otherwise, I will move on to another approach. Mounted with 3M Dual Lock or provision is there for mount screws. I...

Re: Zizzo Liberte - folding bike
Clean, inspect, and lube your bike regularly to keep it running smoothly. I gave the chain tension screw at the derailleur a half turn after the chain came off one time on my last ride over bumps. This bike has been upgraded with a much larger 58T chainring. It's all set now. I haven’t had any major...

bacon, baked potato, red beans, eggs, tomato, sauce, Greek yogurt on the side.... BOOM! fueling for the hill climbing tomorrow. I get one meal a day. I try to make it a good one. Overall, it is a time and money saver. https://i.postimg.cc/YSxbkpFf/IMG20250622181437.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/JzZp634F/...

Re: a couple printed widgets
kicking around a "between-the-legs" cup holder based on a sketch from a requester on this Sunday morning. Why... because everyone needs a cup holder. :) this one is .875 inch thick when folded so it should be out of the way of the feet upon entry. however, I am stuck on this design with the extended...

One-Meal-A-Day (OMAD), a powerful tool to manage your health
OMAD is a highly restrictive form of intermittent fasting where individuals fast for 23 hours and eat one meal within a one-hour window. The focus is on consuming all daily calories in a single meal, rather than spreading them out throughout the day. It is not what you eat, it's when you eat... Mana...

electrolyte drink mix - make your own
I purchased a few of the electrolyte packs but they are too expensive for what they are worth. I ended up buying some sea salt, potassium and magnesium and mixing my own. I add 1/2 shot of lemon juice and boom, it is very good and made for pennies. trust me, Gatorade is ripping you off. ************...

Re: Zizzo Liberte - folding bike

I added a backup water bottle because it is becoming warmer, but the lucky green bottle gets the pole position. I cruised down to...

planning to attempt 75 miles on the Zizzo speedster. basically ride 38 miles away, then you have to come back. :) my lowest weight has been 166.8 lb but the reduction is slowing. the goal is still 165 lb. 168 lb today. it seems that I can get all the calories I need by following OMAD (one-meal-a-day...

Ham Radio License Renew
It has been 10 years since I obtained my ham radio license. It was time to renew my license, so I went here: https://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsEntry/licManager/login.jsp
You need this in order to operate APRS.
Good for another 10 years.

Version 2, Rudder Gust Lock, Rope Link.... I slotted the holes in the links at the bolt side to make it easier to fasten the cam. It works well and I like it so I thought I would convert to a stainless-steel bolt and nut and add silicon o-rings for the cam lock retention to make it snazzy. :) SS is ...

Well, it's a tail dragger so this occurs more often. What about a modern style nose wheel configuration (like a fighter jet); easier to land, better visibility, lower insurance rates.... https://asn.flightsafety.org/wikibase/519615 https://data.ntsb.gov/carol-repgen/api/Aviation/ReportMain/GenerateN...
