well, it is reported the aircraft had two bounces and then broke the nose gear. a nose wheel bounce upon landing is a serious condition. don't fight it, just punch out with power for a go around. come around again and be sure to be on speed and never push forward on the stick for landing. it should ...

Re: Zizzo Liberte - folding bike
the Zizzo speedster fitted with GP5 grips. it still folds OK but need to set the seat post low. hoping to get a 75-mile ride with this bike next week. the bike ride will probably be further than the flight. :) DOMINATION IN CYCLING | TADEJ POGAČAR 2024 https://youtu.be/DEoJd5rMeQ0?si=qE8stuyoCtemeSC...

it's been about a year since I topped these off with air. they leaked back to 38 psi over a year. so, not too bad. these have about 250 hours on the mains and 1250 on the nose. https://i.postimg.cc/HnKX22X8/IMG20240513163123.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/RFS7Vqvh/IMG20240513164605.jpg https://i.postimg.c...

Re: Zizzo Liberte - folding bike
no, but I'm having a hard time letting go of someone that would willfully damage another person's aircraft and put lives in danger and want to make sure folks are aware of him. it's better for me to move on or it could get ugly. there is a big world out there, places to go and things to see and do. ...

well, it appears that he landed long and went thru the tall grass and hit the mud in the field. a small RV nose wheel has no chance in mud so this is what you should expect every time. hopefully, they can patch him at the hospital. hey, from the looks of the vert stab, that was a hard flip. https://...

Re: Zizzo Liberte - folding bike
a really nice weekend in and around Lanesboro Minnesota. I marked off a bike ride bucket list item. the root river valley is definitely a top ten bike trail system in the US. just beautiful. a very good trip. too many photos. I even won a $100 from flip cards I had a gal check for me because I never...

Re: what's airborne now?
I believe the numbers reported by Flightaware are not a true representation of the actual numbers of RV’s in the air. For example, very few experimental aircraft on Flightaware have the type associated with the N number . Many RV’s in my local area flying regularly and they do not show up on Flight...

getting the bike packing Zizzo ready for Empire (Y87) to go see my twisted little RV7 buddy that likes to damage other RVs. the last time I was there he attempted to murder me and my family members by damaging my aircraft. this time I know about him, and I am coming prepared and ready to fight. if h...

everything looks reasonable. original inlet box, rubber and carb heat. I don't see any wear, but the arm is rusty. the carb heat cable, bug nut and lever arm are original and show no wear. adjusted my exhaust pipes up 1/4 inch on the rubber hoses, all original. yep, the RV-12 is getting it done. the other models don't fly much. I will keep tabs on it through the year.

too fast on landing.... on the first bounce he should have added power, but eventually he did and saved it. a learning moment for him. he will do better next time. never push the nose down upon landing, it's always a gentle pulling aft. always aft.... I decided to change my Liberte speedster front chainring from 48T to 56T as my legs are becoming stronger. look at this beauty, 7075-T6 aluminum. that is exactly how I would have designed it. spot on! I also stocked up on 3 pair summer riding gloves. you want these to fit tightly as they will stretc...
