Chad, Man I'm very sorry to hear this! When you were hired my thoughts were: finally some young, fresh blood and ideas, non career airline, grass roots type guy. Im a 45 year old lifetime EAA member and you represented my interests. clearly added value to the organization.

Jeff, I checked out your Hatz build site, looks like your learning a whole new skill set. Having been involved with biplane builds I know the passion. Keep putting in the time! Two words of advice: don't add up the receipts , biplanes require a-lot of an hardware and don't rush the build, they are a...

Brian, thanks for the write up. I went with AFS for all the reasons you noted.

Has anyone looked at the highlander from justaircraft.com? I see Jeff is building a Hatz so it made me think "what's next". I'm going to need the low and slow plane.

Busy weekend

Working on planes but not flying them. Consulted a friend on his 46 piper clipper restoration, bled the brakes on another friends C-182 and put several hours into the finish wiring of the RV. Good thing I get as much satisfaction working on planes as I do flying them

I'm likely going for a couple days, depends on airline pricing. Usually hitting the tail end of spring breakers and Easter which doubles the fare. One thing I love about sun n fun and Florida in general they have excellent BBQ and actually COOK the meat! No vampires. You otter guys know what I'm tal...

EAA sent me a survey regarding my satisfaction on a number of topics. I assumed it went to paid members with active email accounts but they may have just sent it to lifetime members. Needless to say I ran out of room in the comment section. I'm not the complain without solution type, I tried to keep...

Just took the survey

Surveys are hard to write due to so much individual subjectivity but I'm glad EAA is questioning its members. I chuckled when asked about the Disney like Oshkosh experience
