I plan to finish the empennage and begin work on the wings before the end of the year. The Air Force keeps me fairly busy but I'm sure I'll be able to drill, bang, bend, squeeze, and document my progress in my spare time, that is...when I'm not flying for CAP or putting out fires.

Those are great lookin' wings, Joe! This is the kind of stuff that'll help motivate me. Glad to see progress toward another RV-8 in the North Texas sky.

Just wanted to say hello. I'm ordering the RV-8 empennage kit soon and I look forward to spending a lot of time building and some time here too. I've heard this site is a must for new RV builders.
