oh wow, for some reason I thought it was July. Once I accepted that it was going to be the norm it really wasn't that bad of a process.

So funny that you bring this up. My search towards a family aircraft has put the Sierra nearly square at the top of the list for many different reasons. I joined beachaero a month or so ago and have found a bunch of good info. I would say that if this line interests you go forth. I really haven't fo...

Im with Dave. Box the one wing, and strap the second wing dan sans skin. It might also make sense to try and brace that riveted skeleton diagonally just to keep it from flexing much.

This should be an easy move for you.

And Welcome :welcome: to Rivetbangers!!

For us it was a brutal 2 days of wind and rain. We didnt lose power until 11A this morning, after all of it had basically passed. Stay safe out there everyone!

Interesting view Bob, and maybe a good one. For me the 200HP class just makes so much more sense. I agree that the 540 is a great engine, but I just don't see the need for the extra large purchase price or the price of maintaining & feeding the extra 2 cylinders. I wonder if they would be able to su...

Though come to think of it Van originally put out the 10 with a 210 HP but has since backed away from it. Wonder how much work it would be for them to put together a 210HP package that they would find acceptable. Maybe a slightly smaller version of the 10? Just dreaming obviously. Alternatively if G...

Sounds to me that by that criteria you are smack dab on the mark. Though winters in Wisconsin might change that a bit over time ;)

Chad's got it. Though, I am not complaining. My life has taken a wonderful turn with the family and other priorities, and spam cans are sufficing. I am looking for a 4 place bird. Just sure wish that the EAB market would do something in the 200HP 4 seat class. I have no use or justification for some...

How about thermostat or some such controlling a bypass line with some type of manual backup valve?
