Make it a retina-searing electric purple and you've got it.
I want a paint job on mine such that, when people hear me overhead and look up, their first reaction is "Oh Damn!!"

I put the conduit in both my wings, but I don't think I would do it again. It's easy enough to do everything you need with plastic bushings. Now in the fuselage, I put 4 runs of conduit under the seats running from just aft of the baggage compartment to the stick area just aft of the wing spar bulkh...

I concur. I am normally full VAF supporter and pay on January every year. This yea I haven't renewed my support. I think VAf is a great place for info, but some of the shine is wearing off. You need to be careful on what and how you say something. Whereas on RB I feel I can share almost anything(ke...

Dave, The more I think about it, the more I think it has to be the sensor. With the drastic CHT change should come SOME sort of a EGT change. But nothing. EGT's are straightline. I might order a new CHT sensor this week just to be on the safe side. I'm thinking sensor for another reason - the actua...

Not flying yet, but I put capacitive senders in my main wing tanks and float senders in my outboard tanks. My fuel setup pulls fuel from the outboards to the inboards as I burn it through the engine, so total outboard fuel quantity accuracy was less important to me than inboard, but some type of ind...

Still building the darn thing, at about the same spot as Spike, the fuse is basically complete and the finish kit is inventoried. I haven't been able to work on it for about 3 weeks now, and probably won't for at least a couple more months - I'm in the process of selling my house and moving, so it's...

I am building mine in my 2-car garage, my dad and I moved it into the driveway for the fitting, worked just fine. You will have to ensure you are level and plumb all over again - most garage floors and almost all driveways slope some for water drainage. http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/3496/100003...

I've done a lot of flying (non-RV) with both systems, and absolutely LOVE having electric trim on the stick, this was a no-brainer for me. I love being able to trim the airplane rapidly without taking my eyes off the windshield view during dynamic situations (like base-to-final, slowing and dropping...

Yes, the 172 is a 2001 model, very nicely equipped. Dual vacuum pumps, IFR GPS with coupled 2-axis autopilot, weather and traffic on 550, IO360 conversion with GAMIjectors, it's a traveling machine (at a blistering 118 ktas  ) I looked at the Zaon XRX coupled to a Garmin 396, this would get...
