Crotch strap bolt callout

I can't find the crotch strap kit drawing at the moment. Does anybody have the bolt callout for the attachment of the bracket and belt?

Be very careful here before the trim. The plans are a little deceiving on the measurements. Better to leave a little on there and file it back than to take too much off. The "window" of edge distance on all four pieces is quite small.

Don't be like me.

He didn't know that Van's' kits are now pre-punched.

Did you tell him that Lindbergh made it to Paris?

Looking for a hooker harness thread

A couple of years ago -- and I believe it was here on Rivetbangers -- someone wrote a thread about installing their Hooker Harness in an RV and included their step-by-step installation of the crotch strap kit from Van's. At the end was a discussion about what to do about the fact the Hooker harness ...

Heater box cable

I have the Avery heater box with the control arm inside the cabin. I bought the heater control cable from Van's . It's long. Very long. I'd like to see some images of how people are routing this cable since the OP drawing from van's does not do a very good job of explaining it. It also appears to se...

One of the fun things about nearly finishing an RV project, is looking back at all of the mistakes made in the relatively early stages of the project that seemed so dire at the time, that turn out to be no big deal.

Throttle cable location

How much leeway does an RV-7A builder (with a Mattituck IO-360) have in locating the pass-through hole for the throttle cable. I've put particulars on my blog . Specifically, the problem is the location of the doubler for FI and the doubler Van's has you put in for the carbureted fuel pump, has left...

It turns out the center pin for an RG58 doesn't want to fit (too small) on RG400 conductor.

BNC RG-400 vs RG-58

A long time ago, I bought a bunch of BNC connectors for RG-58 coax cable. Since then, I've purchased some RG-400. Can those connectors be used with that cable or do I have to buy the BNCs specifically for the RG-400?

Yeah, it got up to +2 yesterday. Started at -14. This morning it's -10. It takes a real man to build an RV in Minnesota.

So, if I understand this right, basically, one PTT wire goes to the tip and the other PTT wire goes to the barrel..ground..audio_lo...sleeve.... whatever they call it.

Push to talk wiring

This is a problem I'm having with reading the schematic for a typical mic jack connection. Specifically, I'm trying to square away two seemingly different identifications on the PS engineering wiring harness tutorial regarding where the two wires for the push to talk come off the mic switch. Check t...

Mission accomplished. I bought a pair of pliers from Sears ($11) and go the clamp on.

Now, is there any other time I'm going to use that tool on this airplane?
