She is adorable! Congratulations!

I hope that you are limber because if it hasn't happened already, you'll shortly be wrapped around one of those little fingers. :)

Man I am jealous! I think I'm moving when the Warrior 2 (ain't that grandiose sounding? 8) ) I rent exceeds 110knots.

Love the Enigma. Am I reading the voltage right? 15.3/15.4 seems high.

So at 'thanks giving' you eat turkey, and pumpkin pie - do you drink alcohol as well ?
Ohhh yeahhh. But I'm responsible - I don't pop a top until after noon or until I at least fire up the stove. Speaking of which, I need to start the hot chocolate glaze for the cheesecake. Pffffft.

Yup. Happy Thanksgiving y'all. We're cooking up a storm for tomorrow. Turkey (store bought - sorry Spedz - I'm too lazy to hunt but not too lazy to at least brine it), Kugela, an old family favorite, baked apples, sweet potatos, brussel sprouts, yeast rolls, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and homemade chee...

Can't wait to learn what that means too. :? Sounds like something I need to add to my vocabulary, perhaps my pre-teen daughter will think I'm cool again. I agree about this model being a one trick pony. After that awesome startup and takeoff, I was watching mostly to see how he eventually returned t...

R/C JEt

I know several folks on here are R/C fans. A friend forwarded this link to me and to I think it's over the top - amazing. The filming isn't great, but considering how the model was HAULING - he did darn good to get what he did.

Potential TMI alert! Ever read or hear something and only later realize what was said? Another option, perhaps what you are suggesting Brantel, is to forego the constant current power supply and just hook up strings of 3 LEDs to ships power with a current limiting resistor in each string. I have won...

Hey Chad. Sounds like you found it - the glob trumps all of the other cards. :( If you could post the spec.'s of the power supply you have and the LEDs, that should help figuring the sizing the resistors needed. If you have a true constant current power supply, then this app. is a bit different from...

I think that as Brian was indicating, some quality time with a multimeter on the installation (removed from the plane) is the best way to procede. If you confirm that the mounting plate is floating at some potential relative to any part of the circuit, then we're on track about electrical isolation ...

Hi, I don't know a lot about specific Lumileds products, but I have more than a passing familiarity with WBG LED products. That particular package looks like Lumileds Star packge which is an excellent product, but the chassis is not neutral for that product, each package should be isolated electrica...

Well here's my 2c. Though I'm not a builder (yet - still a dreamer), I have adopted my son and have two daughters we had the standard way and I'd like to share my perspective on this topic. Having children definately changes your mindset on life and priorities - I can't even remember who I was befor...

Thanks for the welcome and the explanation Brian. I hadn't considered needing to turn off the heat on a go-around. I'm flying/renting a Warrior II and don't use carb heat in the pattern after "clearing" on entry per the POH. I'd forgotten how much use I gave carb heat in the Cessnas. Clearly you've ...

Hey Brian, This is my first post to RB, so sorry to start asking questions without even a proper hello. I noticed on your panel layout that (well it looks like to me) you have placed the carb heat between the throttle and mixture controls. I haven't seen that setup before and I was wondering what yo...
