I like the sound of the diesel option but it is taking so long to get them out there in the market. If there are none to buy when I'm ready I was thinking of an IO-360 with Elec Ign.

I would love an MT prop but will probably go for a Sen, or Hart. Blended maybe.

Have you thought of a foot switch. You know, like a sewing machine?

There would be no moving of the hand, just a press of the foot. That would be cool! 8)

They have a 4X banger as well but, to much power and I like the sioux drill and gun. Did you guys know that it is still cheaper for me to order things from the U.S. and get it shipp...

Why not make a small cradle from nylon, then make it sit on the internal step pipe. It would not have to be thick, just enough to let the cable rub on it and you could replace it quickly if you fasten it right.

What do you think? :dunno:

Well it looks like I am not alone anymore. Welcome Stanman. I live in Perth, started to get the tools together and will be building a -7A. I have been around aviation all my life. My father was a pilot in the Army (just retired). Only seemed natural for me to follow in his footsteps. Spent the next ...

Build it and they will come

One step closer. I have to tell you that I was giggling like a little school girl when the box got here. The guys at work were like 'what is it, what is it!! Umm.. what that? Is that all?' They just don't get it do they!! http://www.rivetbangers.com/g2data/forums/albums/users/snap/IMG_1633.jpg It is...

With the devil in your back pocket  I was talking to one of my new friends here in Perth. He has bought the QB combo (wings and Fuse) and for the fuse it cost him just on $10,000 (Fuse and shipping) to land it here in Aus. Now, I just can't justify spending that amount of money. Besides, I wan...

I was just wondering, how often do the drill bits wear out?

I was looking on Avery's (I seem to be doing that alot lately) and you can get a pack of 6 for not much money. This makes me think that you will go through them quickly.

What have you Guys and Gals noticed?

Almost right. S-76A++ with Fully coupled auto-pilot down to the hover, 50ft, over water in cloud. Great machine. Love flying it. You can understand why I like EFIS and MFD's.

Do I really want to get into this?
It will be an RV-7A. More space in the panel for stuff and the Miss's will be happy. Not as much C of G movement so I don' t have to worry to much when I take larger friends for a fly. Oh yeah, I have no tail wheel time.

I've started to get stuff

Hi all, Well, I'm starting to get some tools together. Just spent abit of dough on the Avery site. Received my training kit from Van's the other day. Joined the local SAAA (Aussie EAA) and met some great guys. Looked at tools and made notes and started ordering. Should only be about a month I think ...

I can tell you from flying a multi million dollar helicopter with 2 complete 4 axis auto pilot systems, that when you lock it up on an ILS it does a grerat job. Straight down the Loc and Glideslope(G/S). But.....when there is wind gusting from every direction, it does start to hunt, mainly in G/S. I...
