There’s an excellent chance that Mrs Thermos and I will be there…but we’ll need a ride as we’ll be flying in!

Vlad,
If your friend is willing to spend some $ for an email consult, these guys can be very helpful - https://www.aviationmedicine.com/servic ... ssistance/
I've used them before and they've always given me good advice.

Oct 7 Fall Foliage and Chili Fly-In at 1P1
Hello fellow RVers - We're gonna cook up a pot of chili on the afternoon of Saturday, 7 October for a long-delayed fly-in at 1P1, Plymouth NH. Arrive whenever you want, food will be ready around noon. If wx is not so good, we'll slide to Sunday, 8 October. As some of you know, it’s been a challengin...

Re: Tips on trimming the forward end of the cowl?
Bruce - yes, thanks, that's exactly what I was referring to. Following your suggestions, and some tips from Dan Horton on TOS, today I managed to get a good start at a trim line across the front. John - you want pictures, you got 'em! Took these today - Spinner primed - http://www.mightyrv.com/Email...

Tips on trimming the forward end of the cowl?
Hi all, I'm a little stuck on how to trim the forward end of the cowl. I've looked at how the Bruces - Hill and Swayze :) - did it on their websites, but a few questions remain - What's the purpose of leveling the top cowl? What am I leveling it to? Seems to me that it only fits one way across the t...

We'll be there too with some other good local brews! And now that my medical is all squared away, I might be able to make the Bungalow as well...just not in an RV

I'd like to be there. Anybody got an empty seat from the greater Boston/eastern New England area? I can drive to meet you just about anywhere.

1 Oct chili fly-in at 1P1 canceled
Hello friends,
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we’re forced to cancel the chili fly-in at 1P1 on 1 October. It’s unlikely we’ll be able to reschedule this fall, so we hope to catch up with you in the Spring.

I'll second that. I've spent a lot of time enjoying Paul's hard work! Kinda sad, though, when the airport you learned to fly at ends up on the website -

Gone for awhile
Hi all!
I've been away for awhile, it's time to jump back in...I've been so busy on the RV and at work and home that I completely lost track of everything going on at RB!
Hopefully we'll see a bunch of you at Oshkosh next week...

Re: Machine screw drives
Aren't screws specifically called out as being structural or non-structural? Some screws like AN509 are specifically called out as "structural machine screws" while the AN515s that hold the RV-7 seat pans in place aren't labeled "structural". Same goes for the AN507s that hold inspection plates in p...

Latest NASA ASRS posting on E-AB emergencies
NASA just posted their latest ASRS summary, this time it's on E-AB emergencies. http://asrs.arc.nasa.gov/publications/callback/cb_413.html My favorite is the last one, titled “I Probably Should Have Told You…”. In case you don't want to surf out to the NASA site, here's the story - I was providing t...

Correcting a dimpling screwup
Hi all, When dimpling the upper forward fuselage skin - the one in front of the canopy - I inadvertently grabbed my #4 dimple die set and dimpled 7-8 holes on the aft edge of the skin. Fortunately, I realized my mistake before I did the whole edge! The dimples are well-formed, but they're just a lit...
