I've been trying to figure out how to land a very light high wing again. The RV can really spoil a guy.

Please please please make sure you have full coverage including hull before you fly anywhere cross country. The two Rans planes had just ordered it prior to the show and they are glad they did.

I've been Jones-ing for another project, but have been informed I need to work on the house this year.

Have fun Chad

Go out and fly the perimeter of your test area. Do this however many times it takes to fly the hours off. I'm still only at 10 hours and with another Pacific storm rolling in... I envy you.

I would wait until the last possible moment to mount your wings. Or if you do mount them, take them back off until final assembly. You'll add miles to your walk around the airplane while you're building. Unless, you want to walk more.

Scott, Do you have pictures of your plane? I believe that plane comes in a Dope and Fabric or Dacron Slip option. Which covering did you go with? Obviously, the Coyote is a much slower plane than most of the RV line, but it might be on par with the 12. Any thoughts? Rod If you're looking for speed,...

I went to Oshkosh only once. It was the year when the Concorde was going to be there (until it crashed). I had an opportunity to climb into a lot of the experimental aircraft. The only one I felt really comfortable in was the Rans Coyote. I'm 6'3", 230 lbs. Anyone have an idea if the RV 12 will acc...

T.......$145,000 last year. ............ You can do it, Just need to find the right path. There are LSA's out there that can be built for $50K BRAND NEW everything. Take a look at Scott V's S-6 Rans . If you shop around you can build an RV for $40K like Bruce says. So for the cost of a fancy SUV or...

If you must have an RV, you must be willing to prioritize, sacrifice, and really watch your pennies. An RV can be built fairly inexpensively if you can rebuild your own engine, scrounge for parts, etc. An RV-12, not so much. If you just want to get in the air there are other affordable kits out ther...

Yee-haw! There's nothing like that wind-in-your-hair low and slow flying. You're going to have the best of all worlds; a fast, get-there airplane, and a low and slow kicking around the country on a Sunday afternoon airplane.
