No OSH this year but our plan is to do more recreational weekend trips. This trip was the start. On Friday, if the weather/work window allows, we are headed to Cavanaugh Bay (66S). Camping, kicking back, maybe rent a boat, go for walks or read a book.

Sausages and Scenery

Spring time in the Rockies is a busy time for a Hydroguy. But today I was off, the weather was beautiful and I could smell pancakes and sausage. Let's go get some Fly-in breakfast. Plan for the morning was Townsend(8U8) to Stevensville (32S) for Airport Appreciation day. My Motto: will fly for food ...

sorry about missing out this year. I kind of like hanging out there. Seems I never get enough time to see people and do what I want. One of these years I'm going by myself, camping with all the RV's and spending many hours near the plane. just talking with whom ever wanders past. oh I might leave fo...

Nce pic, congrats. I like the paint before fly route. I thought it made that first flight a little more special. CJ, be careful and all should be fine. I took my parts from the house to the paint booth, then to the hangar. Wings were done 3+months before the fuselage. I didn't scratch anything durin...

My youngest came home with his girlfriend for the weekend. We replace all the brake pads on my tundra, then had time to run out to the airport. It was his first ride in an RV.

When I was building my -7, I had the same issues as you. Engine prices were climbing faster than I could decide what I wanted. Shopped all the big names, wanted all the fancy stuff. But my wallet couldn't take it. SO.... Don't forget about having an engine built for you. I found a guy selling a 0smo...

Chad, did you just use the "blank" sender covers for access during this repair? Did you use any kind of doubler with the nutplates or not?

I have to remove some slosh from some RV-4 tanks and am trying to decide if I should cut holes like you did, or try to pop the rear baffle off completely.

I don't have any pictures of the mount. But it is a really simple set up. There are a coule of rings which hold the lamp, then 3 long screws with springs to adjust the angle. I think the RV 10 kit is the same way. These are the set up I used. You can kind of see how it's put together. http://www.kil...

I'm confused. As a member of RV Nation, I am eligible for discounts from preferred vendors, correct? Also as a member, I get my name entered in a raffle for vendors donated gifts? But to be a member I need to purchase a $39 membership? I'm also able to donate to the RV nation scholarship fund. Or bu...

My friend Mike has put his RV project on hold for the time being. He has steeped up to help raise 2 young boys(7&9) that have no father figure in their life. Turns out kids need positive role models and Mike is going to be a good one. The RV can wait. We did make some progress last spring. Wings wer...
