RV9 Panel

Post by sibriggs »

Finally got my lights (avionics screens) turned on. Pic attached, Engine is in wired and plumbed ready to run, Just finishing up the avionics install. Wings are done and stored in the hangar, elevator, rudder and control surfaces are stored in various hiding places throughout house. Canopy and rear window completed. Plan to move the RV to the KCON hangar sometime in the next month, (after sun and fun).

-didn't figure out how to post the pic, so no pic attached-

Congrats - sounds like you are getting close! Would love to see your panel as I am starting to think about my layout. Did you build it yourself or hire some help?

The hardest part of the panel design was planning the behind the panel placement of all the G3X boxes from Garmin. I looked at a all the posts from others and relied on quite a few years of my own flight experience to determine what I wanted and where to place displays and switches on the panel. Also, tried to keep it simple and uncluttered yet still making sure it covered all the functionality I needed.

Here is the list of stuff:

GTN 625 Unit and Connectors etc.
GTX 23 Mode S Transponder
GEA 24 Unit
GDU 460 GPS Display
GSA 28 Servo (2 Units)
GTR 20 Standard Comm Remote
GAD 29 ARINC Interface Unit Only
GMC 307 Unit Only No Yaw
GA 26C Antenna
GDL 39R ADS-B & GPS Reciever
GDU 46X Install Kit
GMU 22 Install
GTP 59 OAT Probe
GSU 25 Unit
GSA 28 Mounting RV9 Roll
GSA 28 Mounting RV9 Pitch
G3X 4Cyc Lyc/Cont Sensor Kit
G5 Electronic Flight Instrument w/Backup Battery
FLIGHT DATA SYSTEMS GD-40 CO DETECTOR
AIRTEX ELT 345 w/Remote
VP-X Pro

Plus some led panel lights and defrost fans.

I sent a copy the pic to Captain John so he could post it for me for me.

Mikey, here is Steve's picture. I'm limited to my ipad, so can you edit it so that it will appear in the thread? [done and done!]

Steve, the panel looks great! Nice job!
