G3X install

Post by Joew »

After many years I’ve buy the bullet and bought the avionics for the plane. Went with dual screen G3X, remote radio and transponder, AP, GMA245 audio panel, GTN 650 (tray only). Going into a RV7 slider.

I need some ideas on where to mount the boxes and how to go about doing it. Every build is different, but looking for ideas on how to get started. Especially the remote mou t transponder and radio. I’d like to have access through the opening behind the glass.

I was unable to post photos sadly

Any guidance is appreciated

I just ordered my G3X system as well. Going in an eight but still willing to trade insights. My panel: Single GDU 460 10" with GNX375, GNC255A, remote comm and audio panel. G5 as backup. Garmin A/P with GMC 507. And the other standard things that go along with all of the above. Should all arrive late next week.
