Cincinnati to Wichita in late Fall, some snow

Post by A2022 »

Heading out into the snow and headwind is always challenging, but it improved after 100 miles. Enjoyed great moments with family and friends in Wichita. The sump heater plug at the FBO worked perfectly, making the engine start as if it were summer. The return flight was mostly overcast but cleared around the Mississippi river. Covering 615 nautical miles on 25 gallons of fuel—calculate the efficiency. :)

I bought some gum rubber from the Yard Store in Wichita. I'm not sure what I'll use it for yet, but I was attracted to the material because it was inexpensive. However, the material is quite heavy, making it unsuitable for aircraft construction.
