Some Performance Numbers:

The more I fly this airplane, the more I like it.

Last weekend I flew from the Dallas/Fort Worth area to Saginaw, Michigan to see my family. 1786 nautical miles round trip in 12.1 hours on 86 gallons of fuel. On the way up to Michigan I had to make some fairly extensive weather diversions or I would have done much better. On the way back to Texas, I was cruising at 16,000 ft, 165 knots TAS, with a fuel burn of 6.3 gallons per hour!

This last Friday, I decided to find out what the ceiling really is for my airplane. 24,370 ft. For at least a few days, you can look at the ATC log on flightaware.com (Enter tail number N804PT in the flight tracker, then click the 'track any flight' button. Click on the flight for 23 May, then click 'track log' on the status line).

Keep bang'in them rivets. It's worth it!
