The Last Flight of Air Prayer

Post by svanarts »

I've been a little reluctant to post this but....

Here is a write up of my final flight in N311SV. Nothing life-threatening so don't worry.

Looking forward to starting the next project with my son in a month or two.

That choked me up a bit. I don't think I could be as stoic about the last flight of an old friend as you appear to be. Good luck with the new project.

 Yeah, it was a little bitter sweet.

However, when you lose your girl the best thing to do is... get another girl!

Mixed feelings I'm sure Scott. On one hand I'm glad you found a buyer since you did have her up for sale, but I'm sure it will be hard to not have her around. At least you got to fly her a bit after the make over, AND you had that great flight with your wife.

Not as hard a decision as it may seem. I really enjoy the building process and I've had nothing to build for a while. I'm really looking forward to building again. Especially since my son is wanting to help build.

To be honest, I am so happy to read this. I hadn't been talking about it but my partnership just sold our airplane as well. The decision was right, but the act was very difficult. I too am now a renter. My last flight in the plane was our weekend trip to Niagara. I may have to fly it one more time to finish the sale, but if I don't Ill be happy knowing the last time with it was great for my wife and I. I feel your regret Scott, but I also feel the excitement of what is to come.

Here is to moving forward and the great times ahead.

Yep, I'll be a RivetPopper going forward. Looking forward to the build with my son. I'm flying to Phoenix next week to take a ride in the Coyote and then place an order if I don't hate it. :)
