Electrical Sump heater 6 ft extension for ground ops

finding a way to snake a 6 ft extension out my cowl exit for ground pre-heat at off-site airports. I will be parked on the ramp for several days in sub-zero C temperatures and I want the line man to plug it in the night before, and I want to oil fill door to remain closed. it works and is easier than I expected using a .118 inch dia rod x 36 inches. attach the cord to the rod and then hook the plug and extract the rod. store the rod at the tow bar. to remove the extension cord, pull it on thru gently from the bottom.
