pop rivets

pop rivets

Hello, I have a question on rivets 1, on the quick build wings can u use pop rivets to attach the bottom panel, 2. can u use pop rivets on the horizontal stabilizer for the row of rivets on the flange closest to the leading edge of the hst.

In answer to #1, the rivets you are talking about are structural. Van specifies the rivets and they should be adhered to.

Can you use a structural "pop" rivet... I suppose you could. Perhaps some style of cherrymax would work, as they are structural.

OTOH, it isn't that hard to do the solid rivets in the bottoms of the wings.

Personally, I encourage you to do so.

...and #2, I don't understand the question.

Truth be told, you could substitute every rivet in the kit with a Cherrymax rivet. The problemis it would be heavy, costly and not what the engineers had in mind. A few cherry's here and there (provided they are the right style) are okay.
