Do I need a Facet pump?

The experimental Lyco clone suppliers have said that you can run 91 Octane in 160hp O-320's with 8.5:1 compression jugs - that is the limit, though. There are STC's for Lycomings also. With the lower compression in the 150hp, the octane can be lower to 87 (see one example here http://www.autofuelstc.com/autofuelstc/pa/faq.html ). Problem is so few airports carry mogas, and tankering 40 gallons to the airport kind of sucks. I'm still researching issues with FI and EI with mogas.

Jim, where is the best place to get a kit? I hadn't thought about it either.

Van's is as good a place to get facet pump as anywehre and cheaper than other suppliers a couple of years ago when I got mine.

Yep. I ordered the Facet pump from Van's the day that I started this thread, and received it already. Cheaper by about $5 than anywhere else...'course the shipping and $4 handling charges may offset that a bit... :roll:
