Post by Gary Hardison »

HI Anyone out there having seeping around the gaskets of these plates ?
I'm considering using pro seal and permanently fixing the problem,my only concern is what if I have to replace the fuel gauge senders?
This is an rv-9 .

When came time to attach the fuel tanks to wings, i found one of the Z attach plates on backwards. So after cursing while pulled the tank off, and drilling out the rivets, I had to use a bit of force to get the attach plate off. First I ran a thin stanley knife blade around the edge to break the seal. I then kept pushing it further and further in until one side started to lift. I then used a screw driver to carefully lever the rest off. That black stuff sticks like dog sh*t , but it will eventually come off.
