Construction jig?

Post by prestwich »

Here's my "other" (see fluting and seaming) concern of the day: With the prepunched kits, do I really need the 2 x 4 jig to build the HS?

i did not build a jig for the HS or any part of the tail. the only thing i built was a holding "V" fixture, which worked well to hold the parts upright to cleco both sides at the same time. this made assembly a little easier, but i had no trouble at all building the tail without a jig.

Back on a very early post I posted a picture of my jig to be used for building my HS. I used it as an area to drill out my spar. That was pretty much all I used it for except when I used it as a very narrow table. It's just right for setting things on that you want to dump all over the floor.

lately I have been using it to store my finished HS on.

In all it really is pretty useless.
