Another possibility...

Let me throw another solution in to this discussion...

I've been looking at this device for a few months. It'll cost you a few (ok, a lot!) more sheckels, but it does neat things like keeping both pilots from operating the trim at the same time, providing runaway trim protection, etc. 8)

Whay say you?

I looked at that one too, Dave.

The part about dual operation could be accomplished with a simple DPDT switch. That is what I was planning on AND it could switch other functions as well like left/right displays and I dunno what else.

I am not too worried about runaway trim. As far as I can tell, next time these servos run away it would be the first time, no?

It is worth the due diligence though. Lemme look again at it!

Thanks!

Then he will also need the CTRL, ALT and DELETE buttons as well.

CJ, I hope my earlier comment/question didn't come across as patronizing. I don't think you took it that way, but if so, sorry.

Back to the smoke tank... I've been thinking of a tank too, but have seen comments about it being something you don't want in the fuse as it is messy. I guess the real problem is how do you fill it (if it is in the fuse)... let me know if you come up with a good spill-free solution.

Brad, nawwwww... I knew, that you knew, what I knew... nevermind!

Well, as far as messy goes... I got an oil tank on the deck of my boat that is plastic and it is not bad considering the environment.

I don't plan on having oil in it all the time. In fact, I also would like it to be removable. How messy could it be? I am willing to give it a try.
