wing angle incedence

Post by gsimatos »

When you are drilling the rear wing spar you must first align the wing to give a +1degree angle. The plans say to place a level on the wing and using a 3 inch block position this over the web of the rear spar. My question is since the web is mabe 1/2 an inch wide, just where on the web would be the correct place to place the block?? Thanks Gary

First...remember that the *flange* of the rear spar is a half inch wide. The web is the vertical part. I've always felt that this is a rather crude way of measuring the incidence as well, but here are a couple pics of how others have done it...

It is very crude, but it works. Remember, we are building a tractor. :-D
