Looks like Van punched a #10 there for something but I am at a loss.

I think that on my Lycoming cylinders, there is a screw that goes in there to the cylinder head. I think that is the one I ended up putting a washer in between the head and the baffle for more cooling.

Yup! Okay, got it!

I am doing the scat tube screen now and with it taken apart and on the bench I was thinking it was associated with the heat somehow.

Oddly enough the way this is going together I will need to shim that corner back based on the gap that seems to be there now. Wonder if Van planned it that way?

CJ - one washer should be enough. I think my CHT for cylinder #3 dropped significantly - like 40-50 degrees!

If not, its easy to fish another washed down there if you have washer-wrenches.
