Duckworks landing light

Post by Tom Walsh »

I just finished installing the Duckworks landing light in the leading edge. The pull the lense with fiberglass tape and drill method gave me a fairly poor lense to skin fit despite pulling very hard. Any suggestions? Is taking out the light bracket and coming from behind any better....
the instructions discourage this method.

I just used duck :) tape to pull the lense tight to the leading edge and drilled. It helps if the plexi is warm too. Mine's not perfect either but it's acceptable.

I must have just gotten lucky. 8) My lens fit perfectly. Maybe I will forego installing a landing light on the right wing.
