rod end bearing question

Post by cjensen »

i haven't installed the rod end bearings for the rudder and elevators yet, but i wondered what the specs were. i haven't read anything (maybe i did, but i've forgotten) about the process for these. is there a rule for tightness like torque? i assume there are thread clearance issues as well? where do i find this??

good to be back online!! 8)

I believe that you should find those in the front sections of the manual. I dont have mine in front of me but I believe thats where the info should be buddy.

Chad,
If I remember corectly, there is a measurment for the center of the rod bearing eye to the spar of the elevator and rudder. This should give you the correct gap distance between the stabalizer and the elevator/rudder. As to torque follow the charts.
Good luck,
Dan
