Recent shop pics

Post by cjensen »

I took a couple of pics of the shop as it looks today, along with how the DRDT has been installed into my work table. Also notice the spar box has been coverted to shelving-thanks to you guys! Great idea!

Image

Image

The shelf is hanging from the table, and the wood underneath it is just stored there-it's not supporting the DRDT.

Image

Here you can see how the cutout goes back in to the table when the DRDT is not being used.

And here's a cool pic just for kicks!

Oh, I've been hard at work. Just yesterday, I removed that bench and built a new one.

I'll get it in good order eventually.

Not as nice as yours though. To do that, I'd need to light a match first. . .

I wish I had a before pic of my shop/garage...you would never guess it's the same place! The people that lived here before us just let the garage go. The rest of the house was nice, but the garage was just aweful! I completely gutted it, walls and ceiling, and started over. :bang:

You may not have before pics, but the inbetween shots are pretty good.

There is hope then?

There is hope!! I was all excited when I started the garage project last spring. When I got done tearing it apart, I started to think "Oh CRAP! What did I get myself into!?" Well, it all turned out fine in the end, though I did have some good help in my dad who helped with all the wiring, and drywall hanging!

There is hope!

I always forget the before shots. From kitchen remodeling to rescuing a barn with only 2.5 walls left and an upside down wheel barrow with a railroad tie on it holding the roof up.

You did a nice job.

At some point I'd like to pour a concrete floor

although on the bright side, I didn't need any shims to level my new workbench, just a shovel. :o
