Hello good people,
What is everybody using for rivet guns? 2x vs. 3x?What brands are you using and what do you like/dislike about your guns. I have my(7A) empennage at home and wings on order. I have yet to order tools( very picky fellow here). Help me out please.

I am using a 3X from Clear Air Tools. It works quite well and drives any rivet on the kit.
When extra money comes available (I just ordered my wings) I plan on getting a Sioux 2X just for setting 426-3 skin rivets. Not that the 3x is too much for it, just for the experience. They say the 2X can do the job with more finesse.
My advice, get a 3X first. If you never buy another gun, so be it.
Oh, and one other thing... you don't need ALOT of tools, just the right ones.
If you buy good ones from the start, you won't be disappointed.

Rivet Guns
I'm using the 3x gun from Avery. I think it's a Taylor. It's worked out well for me so far, but I haven't used anything else to compare it to. I don't think you will find much difference in available 3x guns, so you will probably be happy with whatever you decide to get. Hope this helps!
