Paint scheme

Post by tmbg »

Screwing around in illustrator.

I'm not convinced I like the colors themselves, but I really like the lines...

I really like the concept myself. The lines are great and I think you are on the right track with the green. I would tweak the green a bit to make it pop out. Maybe a florescent green? That could be really cool!

Yeah that is what I had in mind, but I can't make a color on the computer that approximated what I'm thinking.

My buddy just painted a bunch of motorcycle parts an obnoxious green, and we put some on dans tailwheel pant and it looks amazing. That's what got me started thinking about green. Plus I always liked the purple on Brian's plane.

Make it a retina-searing electric purple and you've got it.

I want a paint job on mine such that, when people hear me overhead and look up, their first reaction is "Oh Damn!!"

I might keep mine unpainted for a while for a different reason.

When they see me overhead doing something stupid (like bustin' a FAR) they will say, "It was a silver RV" and there are about a MILLION of those out there!

hahahaha

kind of partial to yellow and purple myself.

I like the swept look, your scheme gives to the wings. One thing to consider, The yellow tail is huge on the -7, so making your purple accent a little bigger will give a smaller appearance.

BTW, when Chad and I worked out the layout and I picked the colors. Sunburst Yellow, Plum Crazy Purple and Big Bad Green, I told people you'll either Love it or Puke! I had more that a few roll their eyes or ask do you think that's a good idea? One 80yr old friend very traditional Bonanza owner told me later WOW that is not what I expected, great job!

SO far nobody has puked...that I know of.

The plum crazy is exactly what I want. I have a green in mind too, I just have to make sure they work together well....
