Piper factory

Post by tmbg »

I dunno if I ever showed you guys this.... I'm going through my pictures, which is what's spurring me to post all this crap at once.

My aunt works on the paint line at Piper in Vero Beach, and in December they had an employee barbecue where everyone could bring their family. The factory currently isn't doing tours, but at this event I was free to wander around with my camera and take pictures. It was a blast!

Unfortunately, that was a couple months before I started building, so I didn't really have a firm grasp of everything that was going on at the time. I really wish I could go back through it now that I know more of the nitty gritty of building airplanes!

Anyway, enjoy!

On my honeymoon Patti and I toured the Cessna factory. That was a very neat experience. Thanx for the photos, they were neat.

It was cool, dammit! :stone:

(But unfortunately the photos are on negatives so I'll have to fire up the film scanner one of these days.)
