This is a quick way to save $50 from Van's on their Odyssey battery Installation Kit. Van's sells the PC680 battery for $120, but on Ebay you can pick up the PC680MJ (PC680 plus the metal jacket) for $135 Shipped. By the time you figure in Van's handing fees and basic shipping, it is probably a wash. Here is what you get with the PC680MJ:

And here it is without the battery installed (just the metal jacket):

I bent some 1/8" angle and riveted it to the sides of the battery box, after cutting some lightening holes.

Three bolts to the firewall and this mini-project was DONE!

The only thing I have to do is put a bar on the top of the battery box to hold the battery in. Total cost for the nutplates and the AB4 aluminum bar is < $10.
