Hey Johny:

I think when it comes down to it we are all just pilots of GA aircraft, and we need to stick together in order to defend our interests in Washington. If we start dividing ourselves up into expo guys v. certified, or LL v. kero burners we aren't going to have enough people in any one of those constituencies who will be able to fend off the airline interests or the anti-GA White House.

Sure there is some expensive GA stuff out there, but the people who are flying it I bet are just as concerned about user fees taking away their ability to enjoy or get utility out of that expensive hardware.

Say, you're not going to be pissed at me if I band together with a bunch of other guys and buy a used Diamond or Cirrus are you? I want something to fly, and my RV is taking a bit longer than planned thanks to my job and the 6 hour commute.

As far as Boyer goes, I think he has been doing a great job in Washington so far. I don't begrudge him a moment of the time he spends in a corporate jet working on our behalf. For that matter if he is able to deduct his own plane when used for business purposes, more power to him. I wish I could do more of that myself. My company is hesitant to let me fly on business -- something about insurance. As a result I am stuck wasting time at airports waiting for flights, flying on their schedule and paying through the nose because most of my flights are booked with insufficient advance notice to keep the costs down.

Every time I crack the spine on AOPA Pilot magazine and see some shiny new Cirrus or Bonanza featured as an "affordable ride" I wonder if I have the right magazine in my hands.

They toss several hundred thousand dollar airplanes around like they are Dodge Neons!

I just don't relate to those articles well, I guess.

So, he kinda blew you off? That says a lot. Do you remember the question you asked? Just wondering.
