engine mounts

Post by acwrench »

Is there any info out there on the correct way to install the engine mount vibration isolators (rubber mounts). I have a set of Barry mounts with part numbers on one side only. The same side has ridges on it. The other side has no marking or ridges just the mfg name. The install is for an IO-320-B1A with a Dynafocal II mount.

Thanks,

Patrick

On one of Van's firewall fwd drawings, it shows where each goes.
There was also a nice write up on how to hang the engine and which mounts to bolt up and in what sequence on the VAF site if you do a search for it.

Found the engine mount dwg on Van's site like you said. Also found a file on the Aircraft Spruce site that explains how to inspect the mount before install.

thanks for the direction.
