RV7 elevator gust lock replacement set... the thin horizontal stab of the RV7 makes these the highest loaded because of the short wheelbase. this is the thinnest web I make, .068-inch. the nylon/glass fiber is 4x stronger than the ASA that I first used to print these. this material did not exist five years ago, so the industry is advancing. where we will be in five more years is unknown, but it is looking good. these are printed in white so as not to stain the paint from nylon dye bleed thru. you can paint or stain the upper outer surface for better visibility if desired. this material is $400 per spool, so if you are printing it, try not to waste too much. :)

Today's order for cowl inlet air dams led me to examine the experimental version with turbulators that I've utilized for the past two years. They appear to be in good condition. Initially, I was concerned that the turbulators might develop cracks, but they have held up well. Considering this, I'm contemplating offering these turbulators as an optional feature.

I misplaced my development files for the Version 2 air dams with turbulators, marking the first loss in eight years. Fortunately, having the parts on hand made it feasible to recreate them. Here's their appearance for the RV9. Based on encouraging test results over recent years, I've opted to release them. They even out the Cylinder Head Temperatures (CHTs) and restrict cowl airflow. Even at steep angles of attack, airflow can still move over the top. I've employed variations of this air dam design for five years, and they remain in pristine condition. Installation takes a mere five minutes with a micro ratchet. While most RV pilots avoid cold-weather flying, these air dams are advantageous for maintaining engine warmth. Cooler weather brings smoother air, enhanced aircraft performance, and the option to layer up for warmth without the nuisance of sweat in your eyes.

how's the above AI written version? I just type some general thoughts, highlight the text, and an AI written version pops up. it takes the bother away from the stupid American English text rules. however, some may still think they get extra points for remembering all that crap. if it's crap, it can be easily automated.

the above "blue" rewritten by AI
The AI-written version above is an example of how technology can simplify the writing process. You can type out your thoughts, select the text, and an AI-crafted version will appear. This eliminates the hassle of adhering to the intricate rules of American English. Nevertheless, some might believe that there is value in remembering these rules, even if they seem trivial and are easily automated.
