5 pepper breakfast burrito

not a breakfast burrito, but I had one this morning.

it's all about ultra simple food..... spaghetti pesto (from the garden) with lemon meringue pie... food should not be complicated. good hot weather dishes.

some left over mashed potatoes, fried and served on a breakfast burrito. some left over steak scraps. everything on the plate for less than $1.50. you can't beat it. forget the fast-food chains, they just rip you off and serve crappy food.

some red beans (my favorite) and some left over mashed and boiled potato. so simple and so good. wrap it in alum foil and throw it on the engine after you land. pick it up in 20 minutes and enjoy a nice meal in a remote location and ponder the thought of how fortunate.

a guy from France sent me a note and said, "to get more flavor from the tomato, put them in the pan first, then the egg... and also, that I need a new pan". I know that, working on it. so, I tried it, and I think he is right. this one is with chickpeas and Romano cheese. pushing the breakfast burrito envelope....

mozzarella cheese and chickpeas.... actually, better than I thought it would be, but I don't recommend mozzarella cheese for these. hey, I tried it!

my wife found some green chilis on the clearance rack. I really crave green chili this time of year. layered on the top and bottom. a slice of heaven. El Pinto is the closest to fresh roasted as I have ever had.

good for a cold day. bacon, black bean, potato, egg, cheese, a little salsa, five pepper sauces to make you cry. a hot black coffee chaser will double the burn. finish that off with a sweet nutty buddy and you are in nirvana, it's spiritual.

not a breakfast burrito, but a simple meal appropriate for the New Year. very simple, inexpensive, and mostly healthy. I rarely eat fast food because the food is not very good and too expensive for what you get. this meal cost about 2 dollars and is much better.

I rarely eat out except when I am on the bike. home cooking is much better and less expensive.

again, not a breakfast burrito, but something good. at the store, buy a 1lb bag of beans for $1 and get a free bag. you can't beat that! this meal was probably less than $3. Food should not be complicated! Fast food is ripping you off and making you fat and lazy, and it doesn't taste very good.

some people say it is heresy to mix potatoes and pasta, but I say if you add beans and habanero, it is OK. cost is about $2 because of mucho celery. I removed to the stopper from the tabasco bottle so that it flows freely. my blood stream is probably about 10% capsaicin.

stop eating fast food because it is expensive crap food.

keep it simple: tortilla, red bean, potato, egg, cheese, bacon, black pepper, habanero tabasco, scorpion tabasco, and hot black coffee for the double burn. good for a winter day. cost = $1.50 and huge.

Wintertime vegetable bowls... salsa and rice, potato and mushroom. if you don't have a pickle, it's not worth a nickel! around $3 per bowl, or less. fast food = crap food. if it comes to either eating well or the airplane, choose eating well.

when it's snowing outside, make yourself some whole wheat pancakes... I recommend butter and Canadian Maple Syrup. Cost is less than $2.
