Spike is home!

I left the hospital around 6:30am this morning to run some errands and get some things from my office. A few people called and I passed on the message that we got from his doctor last night which was that we had almost no hope of John being released today. When I got to the hospital around 12:30pm, he had been discharged.

So, John is home now and very happy to be napping in his own bed at last. He'll have to undergo (at least) weekly testing of his Coumadin levels and his medical is still up in the air, but at least he's home.

Good for John. I feel bad, I should have been on you two to go have that looked at in Oshkosh.

It's quite ok -- he thought whomever had mentioned DVT in the first place was nuts.

Hey guys,

Thanx for the thoughts and prayers. It was definately a pick me up while stuck at the hospital. As Patti said, I am home, but still have some recovery to go. The biggest issue to get through is pain management wrt to my chest/back/lungs.

Please don't forget that life is fragile, and that at any moment the most precious things can be taken away from us, and Im not even talking about flying.

Amen to that brother! A little pruning by the Lord does wonders to straighten one's perspective out.

You're still on the prayer list.

Best of luck Spike. Hope you are back up and around very soon.

I saw you guys at Osh at the Van's tent and was going to say "hi" but I was chatting with Scott at the time and you guys were moving pretty fast.

I was very surprised to read about your going to hospital. You looked fine at Osh.

I was hoping that I'd come home from camping and find you had been discharged.

Welcome home!
