Looking good Chad! We got the other tank riveted this weekend so both are now done!

Hope they test out okay, I think they will. Your wings are looking great. My fuse is suppposed to ship this week so will probably get here while I'm in Texas dropping Luke off for college. At least it won't be a problem as I have it delivered to a friends busines to save a couple of bucks. I'll be missing my bucking partner when I get back though.
Keep up the good work.

How do you guys keep all your stuff so shiny? Mine has no scratches / dents / etc but there are smudges and fingerprints everywhere. Even if I give it a quick wipedown with MEK it isn't that shiny... ?
(I'm not gonna do anything different - just wondering how y'all keep things so bright

)

Man! you are going along at a good clip Chad!
I'm working on my center ribs and their lightening holes right now. The oval one is giving me fits, but I'll muddle through

.
I've also begun working on the back ribs. There are only four of them so I should be able to hammer them out in short order. Yesterday I spent a lot of time making sure I put the centers for the back rib lightening holes in the right spot.

nice!

Great job Chad.
I cheated this weekend and flew the Diamond to Gardner, MA for a RC jet rally. I spend all day Sunday building workbenches for my garage as well as a rolling stand for my QB fuselage.

Putting the top skins on was fun! Makes you feel like you made lots of progress and we backriveted everything so they look great. Gives you that warm fuzzy feeling.

Just wondering, do they make an offset back riveting head for a rivet gun? If you're using a standard back riveting attachment can you get your gun straight enough to drive the rivets right?
I've never really thought about back riveting the wings. Might make my next set look much better than my last set of wings.

Yes sir! I have been using a 12 inch offset backrivet set and really like it. The top skin turned out great. I would highly recommend trying it. You will like it.

That would be my father! He has learned very quickly how to properly buck a tail!

He really does a great job!
I think I'm the one that needs some more training...I put a TINY little smiley in the TOP skin about 1/4 long.

AND that was with a swivel set!!
