Another Flip (Sort of)

I 'm happy to report I finally flipped my -8 fuselage off the jig. It sure was a good feeling to see the "Canoe". If anyone wants a free -8 fuselage jig send me a message. I'm sure these will be a thing of the past shortly with the new match drilled -8's hitting the streets.

That's a great feeling isn't it? Congrats! It looks great. Wait till it's on it's wheels and you're sitting in it making airplane noises. It just gets funner and funner!

Who's the funny looking guy in the background there?
Congrats - I need to pick up the pace a lot as you're passing me even with the QB fuse!!

Nice going, Bill!
Tell me, when did you start the fuse? Just wondering...

Trust me Scott, I'm already thinking about doing that. Gotta mount the front stick and throttle quad first.
Ah Thomas, that funny looking guy would be me. Don't worry about me getting too far ahead. I still need an engine and a panel. That may take a while.
CJ, I just check my builder's log and it took me exactly 4 months to get to this stage. There were times when I would go a couple weeks without even stepping foot in the workshop.

Didn't know you needed a jig for the fus ... just started the wings, but fus is next.

What model are you (and your son) building? If it's a non-match holed -8 (or 3, 4, or 6), you'll need a jig. If it's the new matched hole -8, or any of the others (7, 9, or 10), you won't need a jig.

We are building the "new" RV-8 ... new as in within the last 6 months model ...

Milt, if you ordered your fuselage 6 months ago and already have it, you better start building a jig. If you have not ordered your fuselage yet, you will be getting the new matched drilled fuselage kit. No jig is required, just get a pair of saw horses and start doing the happy dance.

Wing kit has been ordered and is due in two weeks ... fus is a couple of months down the road so I think we will be OK without the jig thingie.

Milt, NICE!
You WILL get the jigless kit!
You are gonna LOVE IT!
I will be jealous it it is more punched than the current -7 one, though!
FYI, the -7 kit is certainly more punched than the old -8 from what WS and I have noticed.
