Hey all,

CJ turned me onto this site this week. I registered and have been looking around for a few days. Nice site! I'm in Connecticut, and building a -7 Slider. Currently working on the fuse, and today I plan to mate the center section and the aft fuse.

Just wanted to say Hi.

Welcome to Rivetbangers Dave. You would have a hard time finding a better group of people than you will find here. Keep us updated on your progress!

Welcome to RB Dave.
What's the closest airport near you in CT. ??
Perhaps we can fly-in for a visit sometime.

I'll be in the Windham area tomorrow doing a litte formation practice with a couple of 8's.

Dave,

That is Chappy's airport!

If he doesn't log in before you leave, I have his number if you wanna call him.

Chad is the REAL entertainer here!

Whenever I come to a fork in the road, I ask myself, "WWCD" and then I do the opposite!

 CJ

As far as the real entertainment...well, I do entertain myself, and if others get a kick out of it, so much the better!

WWCD...THAT'S funny!! You just never know what my little mind is gonna do next!

Anyway...glad you're here Dave! 8)

Welcome to the most UN-RV board you will find. Go sample a few others to find out what a REAL RV board is like. Don't be afraid to ask questions or post pictures. This is a really great bunch.

Thanks

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Dave, IJD is my home field. I live about 7 miles from there. I've seen a group of 3 -8's and a -4 meeting up there for formation practice. Would that by chance be your group? What time are going to be there?

Chad, I have pics of what I did yesterday, joined the aft & center fuse. All of a sudden my nice big workshop is feeling a little cramped :)

I guess I'm going to need a quick tutorial on posting pics, can't seem to find it here message dialog. Of course, it's early yet

Yep, that's us. (I fly the RV-4)
We didn't make it to IJD today, we went to 3B0 instead.

Does the thought of doing formation flying interest you at all ?
If so, the next time we go to IJD, I'll let you know and see about getting you a ride while we fly a practice session.

Yes

I would really like to do that. Thanks!

I stopped by IJD on the off chance I'd run into you guys. What a beautiful day you had! Amazingly quiet at the airport for such a nice day.

The price of AvGas is probably partly to blame for low volume these days.
I know I've cut out about 1/2 of my "Burning holes in the sky" trips.
