I had a pretty good weekend and made the BIG CUT. After trimming, sanding, taping, scuffing, cleaning and priming, I Sika'd the frame to the canopy. Just the first gluing... I'll pull the spacers and clean it up after it sits for a week or so.

At the cost of a canopy, I was very careful and only had a super size Martina after the big cut and it was locked up in my workshop out of harm's way. Although I have often measured jobs by the amount of beer it takes me to complete them, I have refrained from having a been most days until after the work is done and I am out of the shop. Of course I have only laid carpet twice because I never one to screw up something bigger than a sheet of plywood home home improvement projects. I can usually screw up pretty easily sober to say nothing about after a few beers! Last Saturday morning my son and I were opening fishing season and we walked down to the dock and I promptly managed to knock is tackle box into the lake! He may not invite me back next year!

The "beer shot" was a tribute to a former member here on RB named CJ. He claimed to be building an RV but we have not seen evidence of such an airplane in quite a long time. Sadly, he appears to have succumbed to the effects of Captain Morgan. :spit:

Hey Bret, Thanks for thinking of me.

I have been a bit of a lurker lately. I have been swamped with personal stuff and doing Young Eagle rides on the weekends.

Today I am home sick so I may get something done.

You, on the other hand are doing quite well!

Congrats on the canopy. It looks great!

:) CJ
