Last week I finished up the emp...and just in time! The wings arrived today.

Thanks Painless, for suggesting the early order, the timing worked out perfectly.

I liked doing the wings. The frustrating part is, everything gets dome twice!

On one hand, if you make a mistake the first time, you get the next one done correctly!

Are you constructing simultaneously or one at a time?

I went simultaneous. It was tough for me to reverse the plans in my head without seeing the other one in real life. That is why I built them together; that and I had the space.

My plan is to build them together. With my work schedule, I often have to back away from the project at times, and this has caused me to have to "re-learn" where I left off. As you may know this is a progress killer. I think for me it would be a real challenge to compound that by doing one wing at a time. I have the space, so it is a matter of building the jigs for both and diving right in.

As usual, I am open to any tips you have.

CD, the rib prep part sticks in my mind. I can remember countless hours sitting in the living room deburring and scotch-briting those puppies!

What are there, 28 of them in all? If you have any down time on your project, start deburring those. It is totally mindless so you can read the plans at the same time and still get stuff done!

Also, do yourself a favor and spring for the deluxe fuel caps. They are certainly worth it!

I agree about the ribs. I think they stick in my mind more than the fuel tanks. Not so much hard to do, just BORING. I'd hate to do all of them myself on a -10 Overall though, the wings are good fun!

Congrats CD! The wings were a long haul for me, but very satisfying in the end.

I did my wings together for the same reasons you are...I didn't want to relearn things when doing them for the second time on the second wing. That worked out really well for me.
