Just For Chad

Since you know you have been given a hard time over you fruity beers, I figure it is time to give you a fruity beer report.

The beer is called 'Dogfish Black and Blue'.

It caught my attention at 11.0% alcohol with a description calling it 'a very rare and unique ale brewed with red raspberries and blueberries with subtile fruit flavors.

I drank it http://brickstorepub.com/.

With sharp flavours of blueberry, I braved the flavors to regal in the 11% side effects.

Now it will never be a favorite of mine, it is something to put on the high gravity list to check out though. A little tart to me, but tarts are OK on occasion.

I apolgize about dogging you about fruity beers.

Well, that's awfully nice of you Tom! I don't think it will detract from anyone else giving me a hard time, but it certainly commands a bit of respect at 11.0%!!

Dogfish Head beers are fairly prevelant around here (brewed right next door in Delaware) and are highly respected. They even have a few of their own restaurants / taverns that are well spoken of. If its Doghead fish, then there will be no mocking.

If its that other stuff he drinks though, *eeeesh*

Dogfish ales are AWESOME!

the 60 minute ones are very drinkable. Finishing off the meal with a 120 minute is INCREDIBLE! It is a dessert all by itself!

I enjoyed some Gulden Drak ale the other night - now THAT'S a good ale. Brewed by a sect of Belgian monks, they only make and sell enough each year to support the monastery. Starts off at 11% but they bottle it still fermenting, so it gets a little stronger after that.

Hard to find, try Macadoodles liquor store.

I would really love to attend that event. Now I just need an RV to get me there and back in a timely manor.
