Brakes and Tires

Post by smittysrv »

I have looked at the landing gear (mains) drawing for a couple of days now and I just don't get it. My programmer mentality has hit a road block. Anybody know of a website or have pictures of the brake and tire assembly? Me likey pictures... THANKS!

Smitty,

Tire assembly is pretty easy. Go get some baby powder (pure talc) and use it liberally on the inner tube and tire. Your tires have some markings on there that show where to line up the valve stem (red circle). Seen here:

Make sure to fill the tube slightly just so you can get the wheel halves together without pinching the tube. Tighten the wheel bolts, then reinflate.

Getting the brakes and wheel pant brackets installed is easy once you see how it all goes together. I've got some pictures here.
