Steve,
Very awesome! One idea I just had was sort of a tailwheel chock I could attach to my hangar floor. Right now I used a piece of blue painters tape to let me know how far back to pull my plane. Occasionally when distracted I pull it back too far, luckily never leading to any dented metal. This concept exists for garage's, where there is a mat you can lay on the ground which prevents your wheels from going too far back, and your bumper wiping out your mountain bike
Maybe you could design something that could be attached to the hangar floor, but also not too bulky that it would be a tripping hazard when the plane is pulled out?
Glad to see you participating over here at RB. Hope to see you at Osh at our Black Otter Prime Rib Night!

thanks. I like prime rib. this chock is for traveling use. small, lightweight and rotates with the wheel. one chock will secure the aircraft in a 40-mph wind and very quick to install, 10 seconds. I'll think about your idea. If you have an idea for it, sketch it and post it so I can better understand.

gust lock attachment at elevator hinge location. the geometry of this part is interesting. a lot going on for such a small part, but I still do not know if this is a viable method.

elevator gust lock hinge connection. need a widget to attach to the outer hinge area to secure the elevator gust lock in place. not sure exactly what it should look like at this moment.
I will begin a fit check with this but it is just a concept to understand.

elevator gust lock hinge connection.
I must have some small interference here because it does not fit flush with the edge. I need to get a borescope in there to understand the geometry.
Sized for RV9

looking at the RV6, geometry is different so some adjustment to be made.

Oil filter drain back support...... since I usually get some oil running down the sides, I thought I would design a drain back support to prevent that.

Oil filter drain back support...... well, that's a start.
