RV6 Rudder gust lock... a couple of folks have recently asked about a RV6 rudder gust lock. I made one a couple years ago for someone in Texas. I'll add this one, but you will need to measure the rudder trailing edge where the gust lock will rest.

the cup holder is a winner. I'm keeping it. it is better that the cup sets low in the holder, about like this.

nice, big, RV-12 rudder pedal extensions. these are strong and lightweight; I may have to raise my prices to slow the train. material is nylon/carbon fiber and is becoming more expensive. nylon/carbon fiber pedal extension weight = 69 grams less the bolt. just for grins, I calculated the equivalent weight in solid alum = 265 grams. that is 75 percent weight reduction.

outside lap seat belt holder, trial run. I like to know exactly where my seat belts are stored, every time. store them away before you get out. easy on / off. very secure with 3M dual lock. this orientation or rotated 90 CCW would work. this orientation allows more room to just throw it on there.
thinking about the opposite side lap belt (the one with the buckle). one more to go.
my temporary music wires from bluetooth are bundled below.... to be cleaned up when my 90 deg stereo to mono adapter arrives.
perfect standoff distance for the hand

medium size fast food cup, very secure. cup holder, typical size. double cup is working. I didn't drink the Pepsi because I'm on a 22:2 OMAD diet and dropping the weight. 8 miles covered yesterday on the track. going for a top 5 in the half marathon, git-r-done! however, per this guy, it is better to go for a long walk to burn fat. I'll mix it up.

I already like the lap belt side holder. I should have done that years ago. It's right there and I know in the future I will not even need to look for it.

seat belt lap - buckle side holder. OK, this wasn't too bad but need some lean back to be more secure, or it that doesn't work, try something else. however, I really like the ease of storage and retrieval, so I'll push this concept. secured with very small pieces of dual lock for testing only. (I like that stuff). please pardon the belly in one photo, I covered 8 miles on the track today and it was 33C in the hangar. hot! I also rigged the wife's side belt storage. when I do small things to make it more convenient, they add up.
this must be GPS Dock season. printing a bunch.
good running techno song:

time to get rid of the Aera 510 backup, mounted on the side wall. it is good but I have enough GPS units.
*********
I'll give this one a try next. a little wider, not much, but taller so as not to scratch the paint if I miss. a longer tang.

now just playing around to optimize to get the last 5 percent. versions 4 and 5 for testing. 22:2 OMAD diet is dropping my energy level, for the past 2 days, no running. however, today the energy level is 80% so I'm heading to the track. weight is coming down. the goal for race day is to be lean and 100% energy and fast, where I feel like I have been shot out of gun.
