I need to build some kind of artifact sifter that will fit in the plane and on the bike when fully loaded with camping gear. obviously, it is going to need to be foldable and easily disassembled. I think a nice poly stain would also be good. not sure if I can have the final version ready in time for my upcoming trip to Michigan, but I will have something.

maybe this? it's compact, lightweight, easily to rock back and forth for sifting. just need to cut a hole in the middle and find a way to attach 1/4 screen or some sifting material. add the folding shovel and there you go.

planning for this plastic mesh. perhaps add some metal grommets to the chair fabric and attach with zip ties. it will not be as durable as metal wire mesh but will be light weight and portable.

the sifter chair with screen. I found this somewhere.... back to the stone age. nice workmanship. it's better workmanship than a couple RV's I have seen. I think I can see some fossils in the attached limestone. as always, it makes me wonder who made it? and what music did they like?

maybe 10K years old. I doubt my RV will last that long. I'm thinking of making an arrow shaft for it to bring it back to original condition and ready for use. it makes me wonder if there is ANYTHING I have today that will be found in 10K years and put back in service. NOPE!
