what did you do this week - 2024FW6

ongoing hose build and pressure test. I swapped the outgoing 1000 psi rated Chinese shut off valve for a 2000 psi rated Dixon. I have better results with only 20 psi drop in 30 minutes vs the previous 50 psi. so, the new valve helped. I will probably replace the pump unit 1000 psi rated valve with another better-quality Dixon valve. I didn't see any leaks in the test rig. the volume of water in the test specimen is very small, so any seeping past a valve or creep of the supply hose will show a pressure drop. I bought the new valve at Ohio Hydraulics. They don't build hoses for airplanes.

still testing my -4 hose. I replaced the supply end 1000 psi shut off valve with a 2000 psi. seems to have worked. I believe I could easily test to 1500 psi, but the 1/2 galvanized pipe can't go there.
