My most memorable view from an aircraft.

First flight, I remember developing tunnel vision for about five seconds after takeoff, then it cleared. I looked it up later and have never experienced this phenomenon since.

Tunnel vision manifests in two primary ways: as a cognitive narrowing of focus during high-stress situations, or as a physical loss of peripheral vision caused by rapid acceleration (G-forces). Both forms limit your situational awareness and can significantly impair performance or safety.

Musical testing...

Sleep testing... Burlington, Boston, Portland, Bar Harbor. Always direct the red carpet to the passenger side, but if you forget at least have her stand on it for a photo.

Oshkosh, one tent, two tents....

Fishing in Northern Michigan in March with my youngest daughter – it was cold but we had a lot of fun! The Mooney behind had water in the tanks and the water was frozen so he wasn't going anywhere.

A flight lesson for my high school niece. She's now a pharmacist and getting married.

Winglet testing... put the aircraft on rails, but easy to put an eye out.

Many trips home to Kansas... the FBO has me on file.

On the way to Gillespie Field in San Diego.. a couple times. You meet nice people on the way. On the way back, rounding the familiar El Capitan 90 miles east of El Paso.

10 years ago I was painting..... and I don't miss it.
